5 Ingredient Avocado Coconut Oil Truffles
5 Ingredients, paleo, clean eating, no added sugars, gluten free, EASY, delicious and guiltless…Are you convinced yet?! These puppies have the whole package. I am always interested in light chocolate desserts to make that have less guilt than others. Not only are these incredibly easy, they are filled with raw chocolatey goodness that isn’t overwhelmed with handfuls of refined sugars. And seriously, what is better than chocolate and coconut?! I don’t know either.
And I know you’re thinking, “Avo truffles?!” and I say, “yes… AVO truffles.” Delicious, lite and satisfying in every way! I would relate this recipe to a cauliflower or quinoa crusted pizza, you get the taste of pizza but obviously it’s not a FULL satisfaction without that yummy bread crust. Your palate is tricked and satisfied you are getting the taste and idea of pizza, but a cleaner more healthier version. Same with this avo truffle. Although, with these truffles, don’t let the healthiness fool you, the taste is almost exact! Would eat these any day over the real thing.
Serve this recipe at a party and no one will ever know there’s a hidden green vegetable inside. 😉

- 1 ripe avocado
- 4 oz 60% dark baking chocolate
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder split
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
- unsweetened coconut shreds (optional)
Pit avocado, mash with a fork till fine.
Chop up chocolate or place chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl and heat for 40-50 seconds, make sure not to burn, mix until completely blended/melted together.
Combine mashed avocado, melted chocolate, melted coconut oil, vanilla and 1 tbsp cocoa powder. When fully combined set in refrigerator for 35-40 minutes
When hardened, scoop with spoon and roll with hands into individual balls.
Roll in 1 Tbsp of cocoa powder and unsweetened coconut shreds. Serve and enjoy!
