Delicious and flavorful chicken with citrus, sage, and honey made in one pan. Takes 30 minutes to cook and is so delicious! Serve with rice or quinoa with some roasted vegetables and you have yourself a wholesome meal. There is nothing quite like a simple and delicious chicken dish. This recipe takes only a handful of ingredients to make,  is easy to pair with any simple side, and has so much flavor. Whole food ingredients, refreshing citrus flavor, and so delicious!

Tips for making Citrus Chicken

  • Use either bone in, skin on chicken thighs or boneless – skinless.
  • You can also use any other fresh herb that you enjoy.
  • Serve with rice, quinoa, and your favorite roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp Maggio Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 tbsp dried rosemary, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp salt & pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 3 tbsp fresh orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. Add sage, rosemary, honey, pepper & salt, garlic, 1 tsp Maggio Olive Oil, orange zest and juice to a large bowl. Toss chicken thighs in mixture till chicken is covered evenly with ingredients.

  3. Heat 2 Tbsp of olive oil on medium heat in skillet pan. Add chicken thighs and brown for 4 minutes on both sides.

  4. When chicken has browned, cook in oven for 25-30 minutes or until chicken has cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on the cut/size of your chicken. When done garnish with fresh herbs and serve with brown rice or quinoa!
