Easy Homemade Whole Wheat Bread
Moist Homemade Whole Wheat Bread - crusty edges, super soft inside, topped with oats and healthy seeds. A great sandwich or toast bread and is freezer friendly!
Instructions
In electric mixer, sift dry ingredients together (unbleached flour, whole wheat flour, yeast, salt, seeds, honey.) While mixer is running at low speed, slowly pour warm water throughout mixture and turn speed up medium until dough forms.
Dough should be slightly sticky. Add a little extra flour if dough sticks to your hands too much.
Kneed dough several times on a well floured surface. Use a coconut oil spray or olive oil to coat 2 bread pans evenly. Brush dough lightly with olive oil, place in bread pans and cover with foil. Place dough pans in a warmer spot and allow the dough to rise for 1 hour.
When dough is finished rising preheat oven to 400F. Evenly spread the dough out to fit pans. Brush lightly beaten egg evenly over dough. Use a sharp knife and carefully slice a line down the center of each loaf. Sprinkle grains you've set aside over top and bake for 30 minutes!
Bread should be lightly browned, with a crunchy outer shell. Enjoy it warm with coconut oil & honey - SO good. Freeze or refrigerate loaves in ziplock bag to store.
