Kale & Ginger Grapefruit Smoothie
This refreshing smoothie contains only 5 simple ingredients:
Grape fruit juice
I have to say, this is the first detoxifying smoothie that I’ve ever loved. I’ve tried beat juice, I’ve tried cucumber juice and I just caaaan’t. I’ll eat whatever vegetable you throw at me, but drinking vegetables is a whole nutha’ level.
So for this smoothie I added small amounts of fruit so you can have a slight sweetness, all of it still packed into a cleansing and refreshing drink! AND, it’s insanely TASTY. Do we ever hear that word when it comes to this stuff? 😉
This smoothie is:
- Perfectly tart
- Not too sweet
- 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup mango
- 1 cup fresh kale
- 1 grape fruit, juiced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger
- 3-4 ice cubes
First crush ice in blender till fine.
Add frozen mangos, kale, ginger, strawberries and grape fruit juice and blend till ingredients are smooth. If need be, add fruit or ginger to adjust flavor if too tart or too sweet.
