Preheat oven to 400F. Remove cauliflower stems, wash, and then slice into 1 1/2-inch thick "steaks".
Lay cauliflower on a sheet pan - drizzle with oil and brush on both sides. Season with salt and roast for 15 minutes - use a spatula to flip and roast for another 10 minutes.
Remove cauliflower from oven. Set oven broiler to HIGH - then spread sauce and sprinkle cheese over cauliflower steaks. Broil for 1 minute until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Serve steaks with fresh basil and other desired toppings.
