The Best Gluten-Free Peach Crisp
Put those juicy summer peaches to good use and make this easy and delicious gluten-free peach crisp! Filled with layers of sweet peaches and a buttery crisp topping, this crisp is the perfect summer treat for everyone. Best served warm with ice cream!
Summer peaches are absolutely delicious all on their own. But when they’re baked in this crisp they truly shine with a deeper sweetness and a beautiful caramelization! And the crumble topping paired with the sweet roasted peaches is simply divine.
This is one of the easiest desserts you can make! And let me tell you, it is always a crowd-pleaser!
We love to serve this for summer family dinners alongside cold ice cream (you can use regular ice cream or plant-based!).
I hope you love it as much as my family does!
Ingredients – What You’ll Need
This recipe requires just a handful of ingredients and takes only minutes to prepare. For this recipe, you’ll need these 7 ingredients:
- Peaches: fresh juicy summer peaches. You can also use frozen, but I love using fresh!
- Almond flour: super fine almond flour or almond meal works for this recipe!
- Oats: quick oats or whole oats will work. I love to use sprouted gluten-free oats!
- Vanilla extract: for flavor and richness.
- Cinnamon: for a warming spiced flavor. You can also add a touch of nutmeg too!
- Butter or oil: use regular butter if desired, or coconut oil to keep the recipe dairy-free.
- Coconut sugar: this is a natural unrefined sweetener that tastes exactly like brown sugar. You can also use maple syrup or brown sugar!
How to Make This Gluten-Free Peach Crisp – Step by Step
Add the peaches. First, arrange the sliced peaches to a baking dish.
Prepare the crisp topping. Next, in a medium-sized bowl, add the almond flour, oats, coconut sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and melted butter.
Mix topping and add to dish. Mix the topping completely together, then spread it evenly over top of the peaches. Bake at 350F uncovered for 40-45 minutes until the peaches are bubbling and the top is golden brown.
Recipe Variations
Add fruit. You can add additional fruit with the peaches to change the flavor. We like adding 1/2 to 3/4 cups of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, or cherries.
Make it vegan/dairy free. This recipe is simple and easily adaptable to be vegan-friendly. Instead of butter, you can use vegan butter or melted coconut oil.
Make it grain free. To eliminate any grains from this recipe (such as the oats) you can replace the oats with equal parts almond flour!
Make it nut-free. If you prefer not to use almond flour, you can swap it for equal parts oat flour.
Sugar swap. If you don’t have coconut sugar, you can use maple syrup or honey as a natural sweetener. Or use brown sugar.
Add nuts. For a little crunch, you can add chopped almonds, pecans, or hazelnuts to the topping.
Tips for Success
The best baking dish for fruit crisp/crumbles. We love to cook with cast iron pans or enameled cast iron, but you can also use your favorite glass baking dish! 8-9 inches in size is best.
Peeling the peach skin is optional. I personally like leaving the peach skin on for my crisp recipes, but that’s my personal preference. If you don’t like the skin, you can of course peel it!
Fresh peaches are best, but frozen works too. I love using fresh juicy summer peaches for this recipe, but if you only have frozen peaches available they can also work for this recipe. Just keep in mind they will have a higher amount of water released when they are cooked. If the crisp becomes too watery, you can continue to bake it until the liquid absorbs.
How to Reheat Peach Crisp
Microwave: The fastest way to reheat this crisp is in a microwave for 30-45 seconds in a glass bowl.
Oven: I personally do not own a microwave, so I like to use the oven to reheat this crisp. In a preheated oven at 350F, place the crisp in a baking dish and cover with foil or a lid and bake for around 8-10 minutes or until the center is hot. Everyone’s oven is different so the cooking time may vary.

Excellent recipe for me, so easy and delicious! I’m not gluten-free but my sister is so I decided to make this recipe for us. I ground my almonds for almond flour and used less than 2/3 cup of brown sugar. Super yummy! Thanks Bethany.
This is delicious; just pulled it from, the oven and had a ‘trial’ taste. Added 1 cup of frozen blueberries as I only had 3 large peaches.
Thanks for an excellent peach recipe.
This came out beautifully! So glad I tried it. Thank you! It’s wonderful by itself or with vanilla bean ice cream 🙂
Yay, really glad to hear it! Thanks for sharing, Celeste 🙂
Delicious! Not a bite was left!
So happy to hear it, Celeste!
So excited to make this!! exactly what i needed. i’ll definitely be coming back to this website! 🙂
I would rate it 6 stars if I could 🤪 I used peaches and strawberries and made it in a huge 15” cast iron skillet. What a crowd pleaser!!!
Thanks so much for your kind words, Judi! Really happy you enjoyed the recipe so much. 🙂
Can I use a gf baking flour or artisan flour instead of almond flour or oat flour?
I would use oat flour or GF baking flour! Hope you enjoy it!
I made this for breakfast and my boys practically licked the Pyrex dish clean! I didn’t have instant oats so just chopped old fashioned in the food processor. Added chopped pecans. It was like a peach granola bar. Delish!
haha I’m so happy they enjoyed it so much! Thanks so much, Sara!
Quite possibly the best I’ve ever made by far the easiest, and yummy!
I love to hear that! Thanks so much, Melissa!
May I keep it in fridge overnight to safe time next day
Yep that should work just fine!
Can I prep this ahead of time and then freeze it until I’m ready to bake? 😋
yes! That should work perfectly fine. 🙂
A friend brought this for dessert and everyone raved! That crumble topping mmmm.Best.Ever. ❤️
Ahhh so happy to hear it! Thank you, Jenny! 🥰
Easy to make. Wonderful to eat. Our friends enjoyed.
Could I bake this crisp in small mason jars?
Absolutely delicious! Thank you!
Amazing and delicious! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.
Thank you, Mina! You’re so welcome. Happy to hear you enjoyed it 🙂
This recipe came out awesome and everyone LOVED it last night at my party. After rereading the recipe now though, I noticed that you left the cinnamon out of the actual recipe. Haha. Oh well. It came out great and maybe even making it again tonight. Next time I’ll add some cinnamon.
Woops! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. 🙂 So happy to hear this recipe was such a success!
Do leftovers need to be refrigerated? Loved this recipe!!
So happy to hear that! And yes – refrigerate leftovers 🙂
Can you use drained canned peaches?
you can certainly try! Fresh peaches have a little bit more of a bite to them – canned peaches may be a little bit more soft.
I have made this a few times now & it’s amazing! I replace the sweetener with the same amount of local honey.
Thank you so much! I’m so happy you love it 🙂
I made it once with raw sugar in place of coconut sugar and it was delicious. My next go I used maple syrup and the crumble was a little mushy and didn’t crisp up. So for those looking for a crispier crumble, I’d suggest forgoing maple syrup as a substitute sweetener.
oh! Good to know with the maple syrup. I’ve had success in the past with other crisp recipes using maple syrup but it may just need to be baked longer. 🙂 So happy you like the recipe!
This recipe is a great summer dessert option, so delicious!
Thank you sarah! 🙂 So happy you enjoyed it!
Do you peel the peaches first?
I live the skin on, but you can peel them if preferred 🙂
Suggestions for a different type of pan to make this in? I don’t own cast iron. Thank you in advance
You can use any type of baking dish 🙂 It will work just the same.
Perfect timing because of all the fresh peaches I have. Made this tonight and it was so so good!
I’m so glad to hear! It’s truly delicious. 🙂
Yes – perfect for this time of year. Thank you, Helen!
lol, thank you camila! It’s so good!
Thank you, Stephanie!
Everything, everything, everything is fantastic about this recipe. Including that it’s a skillet recipe. Thanks so much!
