Extra Apple Bread Tips & Faqs

oat flour: you can either purchase this or make your own by grind oats in a high-powered blender until very fine “flour” consistency.

milk options: for dairy-free milks you can use almond milk or coconut milk. If you don’t prefer recipes to be dairy-free you can of course use regular milk!

Don’t over-mix batter: This is a general rule in baking. But I have found when baking with oat flour to be extra cautious when mixing batter. Over-mixing it can result in a rubbery or tough cake. Gently fold flour into wet ingredients until just combined for best results.

what are the best apples for baking bread? for baking you want an apple that is both tart, sweet, and firm texture – we recommend granny smith for this reason. But other contenders we have loved are fuji, honey crisp, and pink lady apples!

Freeze bread by wrapping individual slices in plastic wrap and then storing in a freezer-friendly ziplock bag for 1-2 months. Thaw and reheat in microwave when ready to serve.
