Lately, I’ve been making this blueberry smoothie every morning for Drew and I. We both absolutely love the taste, the creamy texture, and all the nutritious ingredients that can easily be added to it.

You’ll find this smoothie to be so filling and refreshing! I drink it after my workouts and always feel rejuvenated.

One of the reasons I love drinking a smoothie daily, is because you can pack them with SO many nutritious ingredients in it and just drink it. It’s a lot faster than eating a salad and a lot easier than juicing vegetables/fruits!

Ingredients You Need

You’ll need just 7 ingredients to make this smoothie happen: frozen blueberries, unsweetened almond milk, ripe banana, spinach, moringa powder, hemp seeds, and flax meal.

Extra Smoothie Tips

Smoothie consistencies: I love a thicker smoothie. So I use a good amount of frozen blueberries to make that happen. If you like it on the thinner side, adjust the level of liquid as needed.

Use ripe/sweet bananas: a lot of the flavor in this smoothie comes from the sweet banana. Make sure they are ripe and have flavor when using! A few brown dots on the banana skin will show it is perfectly ripe.

Flax seeds vs flax meal: you can use either flax SEEDS or MEAL – which is flax seeds ground up into a “flour” consistency. I like using flax meal because it’s already skipping a step for me, but flax seeds will break down in the blender if used in this smoothie.

Is moringa powder needed? not at all! It’s an added “superfood” that is rich in vitamins A & B and has so many incredible health benefits (source). We add only a pinch to our smoothies so you can’t even taste it! But, you can completely omit it if desired.

I look forward to this smoothie every morning. It’s sweet, filling, and leaves me feeling refreshed!

I love serving it up for breakfast or as a mid-day snack to boost my energy. It’s filled with vitamins, antioxidants, and tastes absolutely delicious!
